•    Gather all your hair together at the upper back of your head
•    Then begin by splitting the hair into two sections.
•    Take a small piece of hair from the outside of one of the two main sections and bring it to the inside of the opposite section.
•    Then take a small piece of hair from the outside of the other section and bring it to the inside of the opposite section, then pull tight.
•    Keep taking small pieces from each side into the inside of each section to develop the inverted braided pattern.
•    Keep going until you reach the end and finish by tying the hair with some small hair from the ends.
•    Fishtail braids look best with a slept-in look so tease the braid by pulling out some strands for a more textured look. Pull over to one side of the shoulders.

The Strand braid

•    Pull the hair that you want to braid to one side.
•    Now start to braid your hair. Number the strands 1-4 to keep them straight in your mind. Then start with the farthest one away from her face as number 1. Braid number 1 over 2 and 3 over 4 and then 4 over 1. Then renumber for each braid sequence. Remember: 1 over 2, 3 over 4, 4 over 1. Repeat all the way down and tie with a hair tie.
•    Adjust the Braid. Flatten the braid out to see the intricate braiding work.
•    Then round it on the hair round and pin it and hold the remaining hair to a bun
•    Finish with a good hairspray.

•    Take the loose side and start at the nape of the neck, splitting it into three strands.
•    Do an inside-out French braid or Dutch Braid, crossing the strands underneath each other instead of over. Work your way around the side of the head, keeping the braid fairly tight.
•    Work across the top of the forehead until you finish the braid, and secure the end with elastic. Just let it hang until you complete the other side.
•    With the opposite side, you start at the top of the head, instead of the bottom. Split it into three parts and do the same inside-out braid you did before, but work around the side of the head, finishing near the nape.

•    Flip right side up and brush through the top of your hair. Take a strong pony holder and create a high pony
•    Take your sock and cut off the toe. Then roll the sock into itself until you have a donut. Then slide the donut over your pony.
•    Pull your hair including the braids around the pony so you have the shape of a bun. Begin to fold the excess hair under the bottom of the bun and fasten with a pony holder.
